Project Description

After the success of the Library wall wrap at Gunthorpe Primary School, the Fusional artists were asked to create a ‘re-imagined’ take on the classic book by Roald Dahl and conjured up a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory wall display for the story’s key scenes.

We were let loose on 5 areas within a busy central concourse. We used a mix of traditional illustrative techniques and 3d digital design to create a series of wallscapes that tell the classic Roald Dahl tale in a pictorial format. Throughout, there are quotes from the book and a special homage to Gene Wilder, who played Willy Wonka in the 1971 film adaptation.

The overall effect was a vibrant, colourful and totally original design with many ‘hidden’ easter eggs that the children could seek out and a set of wallscapes wall art that ourselves and the school could be proud of.
