Forest School, Snaresbrook – Murals

Forest School, an independent school nestled in the leafy borough of Snaresbrook, E17, invited Fusional to explore a unique space earmarked for the first phase of a mural project.

During our visit, we met with the school’s Deputy Head and quickly identified the key challenge: a low-level, hexagonally structured central corridor that connected several subject areas. The goal was to bring visual interest and a stronger sense of identity to an otherwise plain and muted space.

Fusional designed a series of branded murals that introduced the Forest School identity alongside subject-specific imagery for Geography, Modern Foreign Languages, and History. These murals were carefully placed between classroom entrances, wrapping around the central staircase and creating a seamless flow through the corridor.

The result was a dramatic lift to the environment — injecting flashes of colour and character into the beige-brick interior and transforming the journey from the student entrance to each classroom into a more engaging and vibrant experience.
